Part of the ending sequence of Lufia 1. I really love the ending to this game, its so sad. Well, until the cheesy "OMG EVERYTHING TURNED OUT OK DEUS EX MACHINA BABY!" thing, but everything up to that point is great.
I wanted Aguro to look like he's pained, but it looks more like he's uninterested. Jerin is scary looking.
The text in the background are a few of Lufia's last lines in this part.
This picture was inspired by Crackers "You Could be my Love". Its a frighteningly annoying sappy love song, and I normally hate those types of songs... but it, for whatever reason, made me think of MiniMaxim and Lufia. (Yeah, I like MiniMaxim and Lufia much more than Alex and Luna. See, sometimes people like the shitty knock-offs better than the originals!)
Reminds when I used to play this so many years ago...I never was a fan of Jerin.

Lufia of Alekia: I can't open the safe.
geoffasraelis: *chuckles* Aw come on
Lufia of Alekia: Laugh but...which way is left?
geoffasraelis: *blinks* Downwards
Lufia of Alekia: No <--- or ---->
geoffasraelis: ... Left is <---- ...

You really capture the feelings of the characters during this scene. It's so sad, but sweet at the same time.
I'm still not sure why I never cried at this part in the game; I was always a big crybaby whenever sad things happened in RPGs (don't ask how bad I was during Lufia II's ending...well of tears from the second the music changes).
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
